Rural communties in South Africa are struggling to get food during the Covid19 Lockdown. We're on a mission to change that.
Here's how.

Local Partners

We partner with local organisations and people to provide food parcels to the rural communties.

Can your R100 make a difference?

Simple answer, "YES it can... And it will!"

  • R100 ($6) purchases a food parcel that can feed a single person for a week.
  • South African farmers are working together with us to assist in ensuring we are getting food at the best price possible.

I was raised in this ministry and am now studying a personal training degree through Tri-Focus Fitness Academy. From the age of 10 Midlands Christian Centre took me in and helped put me through school. I am very excited about what is happening in this ministry as they are reaching out to help many people in rural communities.

My experience with Hearts of Compassion goes back a long time ago, when I worked with Pastor Glenda Sandalls at MCC. My heart is filled with joy to see and know that we are taking off once again during these times of Covid 19. I am just so excited to be part of this amazing team and to serve the communities with food. It blesses my heart to see the joy and smiles on their faces, knowing that I can make a difference in reaching out to those who are in need.

I have been in this ministry since I was a little girl, and I now work at ECA Pre-School. I was involved with Hearts of Compassion during my discipleship years, so I am very excited to be involved in this ministry again. I am so excited to see how lives are being changed through Hearts of Compassion. I get so overwhelmed by the smiles and gratitude of the people when they receive their parcels.

I really enjoyed handing out food parcels at the Pre-School in Ntabamhlope called Dayspring. The people were so excited to receive food as so many people are suffering due to COVID19. These people don't have food and some don't have clothes that is why Hearts of Compassion has been helping these people.

I started working at ECA at the beginning of this year. It has been so special for me to be involved with such an amazing team. I have stayed in Estcourt for a very long time and always knew about Hearts of Compassion, but I have only been involved recently and it has humbled my heart. It is a privilege for me to be part of this mission and be able to see the gratitude on peoples faces when you bless them. This would not be possible if the leaders had not had it on their hearts to make a difference. I thank the Lord so much for this opportunity.

I have worked at ECA for 4 months now, and the experience I had with Hearts of Compassion was just AMAZING. Seeing all those people excited about getting something to eat was really touching, it made me cry for a second. We are really hoping that God provides so that we can continue giving out to the people in need. As the Word of God says, "Blessed are those who give with a pure heart."

First of all, it is one thing to tell people about love but to show them is another. That is what I saw through Hearts of Compassion. I have only been at ECA for a couple of months but I feel as though I am already part of the family. Outreach and missions are very dear to my heart because we are not only feeding people's stomachs but also their spirits. For God is love and if they see the love they see God. I truly believe that this ministry will bring people to salvation and they will come to know and experience God. For this is all for the glory of God.
